BosStrap Sliding Sling straps use the widest strap available on sling style straps. When I engineered the BosStrap, I intentionally used a wide strap to distribute the weight over a larger surface similar to what a shoulder pad does. The result is equal comfort without the nusiance of constantly pulling a shoulder pad back on you shoulder. Hope you become a BosStrap photographer. Tom Fama, BosStrap, 508 480-9762

No it is not, but my Canon 7D is not a light weight camera and I have found the strap to be very comfortable so far.

no. It is much like the seatbelt strap that we are so used to. Wide enough to carry weight well for me. My only concern is that it can get to swinging as I am active. Need to keep a hand on my camera most of the time. The most positive aspect of this strap is that it does NOT attach to the “easy-to-unscrew-off” tripod screw.

No, but very comfortable. I’ve never had an issue with comfort like I have with even a padded strap.

No the strap is not padded. But I do find that it being over the shoulder and across chest to be much more comfortable than one that goes around my neck.
